A loose top motor mount or loose primary chain can make the evos. There is no vibration to the mirrors at all none of the old problems we heard about. Without locating dowels engine vibration allowed heads to walk on their gaskets making them leak eventually.
The engine was mounted directly to the frame from 1957 through the 2003 model year. Loose belt will vibrate hard heavy low frequency vibration. Fits rubber mounted 5-speed FLTFXR models 1980-up and Dynamodels 1991-1994. I had a bad vibration coming up through my bars and thought it was a engine mount turned out to be me over tighterning the exhaust nuts i put new exhaust gaskets in and didnt do up the nuts as tight and vibration disappeared other possible is amke sure the exhaust is not touching on ur frame anywhere as the vibration can travel it may not be ur problem just sharing what fixed mine. Simple test to rule out tires Pull in the clutch when vibration is at its hardest.
